Technical Parameters

Fabmann supplies both cold rolled and hot rolled copper & copper alloy plates, and our cold-rolled copper plates and sheets are made from advanced casting technology. Hot-rolled sheets and plates have wide thickness range from 3 mm to 230 mm in thickness with width up to 3,000 mm. We use Cu-OF, Cu-OFE, Cu-ETP as our primary material, and we also offer low-alloyed copper plates that possess special properties, which include CuAg0.1, CuCrZr & CuZr. These copper and copper alloy plates are used in electrical engineering, mold as well as furnace production, semi conductor industry such as sputtering targets. Thin copper plates and strips are widely used in many industries due to their premium & unique properties and versatility. To bring these benefits to reality, precise control over each production process is critical, and we've short listed the main production process below for you:

 

√   Copper refining, the manufacturing of thin copper sheets and plates start with exploring copper ore which is mined and undergoesl refining processes to obtain pure copper.

√   Copper casting, it is cast to anodes.

√   Copper rolling, these anodes are then heated and rolled through a series of mills to specific thickness requirement. Rolling can be performed by hot or cold processes, depending on the desired properties of the final products.

√   Annealing, it is mandatory to go through annealing process, which is designed to heat the copper material to a specific temperature, then slowly cooling, making it easier to work with in subsequent copper fabrication work.

√   Pickling, after annealing, the copper strips & plates are pickled to remove any oxide layers or surface impurities, which can enhance the mechanical properties.

√   Precision rolling (cold rolling), the annealed copper strips go through multiple sets of rollers until achieving the desired thickness.

√   Slitting, the strips are slit into required widths by precision slitting machines

√   Surface Treatment, after the slitting process, the plates and sheets may undergo surface treatments to enhance their performance or aesthetics. This surface treatment includes processes like electroplating, coating, or applying protective films.

√   Quality control, testing and inspection are conducted to verify the chemical, mechanical, electrical, and dimensions.

Copper and Copper Grades

 

Fabmann is a leading copper plate & Sheet supplier, and our main stock copper grades are C10100, C10200, C11000, & C12200. These grades have excellent electrical and thermal conductivity, outstanding corrosion resistance, and ease of fabrication, together with good strength and fatigue resistance. When high purity copper is exposed to natural environment, it will patina and develop a greenish or bluish hue over time, and therefore applying a film is a popular solution to avoid patina phenomenon. In many countries, ASTM B152 110 is a standard specification for copper sheet, strip, plate, and rolled bar. The oxygen free copper grades C10100 & C10200 have very high purity of copper, which means absence of deoxidizers, and these plates can reach a minimum conductivity of 101% IACS. Therefore, these two plates are suitable for applications requiring high ductility and electrical conductivity. Plus, we also supply copper alloy plates with grades like CuAg0.1, CuCrZr & CuZr, C2800, C2600, C2680, C3604, C3602, C69400, C18400, C19400, C19200, KFC, C5191, C5210, C17200 & C7025.

Our standard cold rolled copper plates thickness is from 0.5mm to 30mm. For hot rolled copper plates, we can supply from 4mm up to 200mm.
