Details:
To produce high quality oxygen free copper (OFC), the copper is processed with carbon to minimize oxygen presence, and the two primary grades are C10200 (CW008A) and C10100 (CW009A). CW009A has an extremely low content of highly volatile low melting elements such as phosphorus, lead, sulphur, zinc, cadmium and mercury, and exhibits excellent resistance against hydrogen embrittlement occurring under wet electrochemical environments, and it is very easy for machining, hot-working and cold-working. In particular, Cu-OFE is widely used for vacuum application in electronic industry.

Technical Parameters

C10100, also knowns as Cu-OFE, is the premium pure copper grade, CW009A is the EN numeric designation while C10100 is the UNS number. It has a very fine-grained structure and consists of a pure automotive crystal lattice. This copper grade is high-purity with at least 99.99% of copper, and its oxygen level is below 5ppm, and the absence of oxidic inclusions result in a very high electrical conductivity. That's why It can reach extreme electrical conductivity of 101 % IACS. Furthermore, the material shows no susceptibility to hydrogen embrittlement. It has very good hot and cold formability and good corrosion resistance to atmosphere and water. It is practically insensitive to stress corrosion cracking.
